• Size Riding Gloves

Riding gloves are an essential component of your equestrian attire. They provide protection for your hands against friction from the reins or lunge line, as well as from the elements. Designed to assist riders, riding gloves often feature reinforced areas for durability where they come into contact with the reins. Different styles of riding gloves offer various features such as added grip, ventilation panels, flexible fabrics, and weather resistance.

Manufacturers offer riding gloves in sizing increments of either half inches or universal sizes ranging from extra small to extra large. It's important for riding gloves to fit snugly, but not feel overly tight or restrictive.

    To determine your glove size:

Use a soft fabric tape measure with inch increments.

Measure around the widest part of your hand, excluding your thumb. Ensure that the tape measure is snug and straight, but not too tight.

The measurement in inches around your hand equals your glove size. For example, if the measurement is 6¾ inches, the recommended glove size would be rounded up to 7 inches.

For riding gloves offered in universal sizes, referring to the provided size charts can help determine the appropriate size for you.

Helpful Tip: Caring for leather gloves is similar to caring for your leather tack. If they get wet, allow them to air dry naturally and away from artificial heat sources. Lightly condition them with a leather conditioner to prevent cracking. Always check the manufacturer's care label. In general, synthetic riding gloves can be washed by hand with mild soap and then air dried.
